Local hospitality professionals assembled for community service on Sept. 17 as part of Campari and Imbibe magazine’s Negroni Week. Co-hosted by Campari in partnership with the United States Bartenders’ Guild National Charity Foundation, the fifth annual Campari National Day of Service initiative encourages bartenders, trade and distributor partners to give back to their communities. A group of Connecticut volunteers worked at the Mystic Seaport Museum, landscaping the grounds and refurbishing some of the site’s historic buildings. The day was followed with a Campari pub crawl in Mystic at The Mariner, Oyster Club and The Port of Call, where volunteers enjoyed food, Negronis in honor of Negroni Week and other cocktails. The volunteer event initiatives were led by Campari America’s Gary Dritschler, State Manager, and Anne Louise Marquis, National Portfolio Brand Ambassador, in coordination with a variety of teams from local accounts across the state. Venues raised funds for a host of charitable causes each chosen by participating venues.
