Worldwide Wines, in collaboration with Madison Beach Hotel and the Madison Chamber of Commerce, hosted the Women in Wine Soiree at Madison Beach Hotel on March 8. Spearheaded by Worldwide Wines’ Tanya Raisz Porcelli on International Women’s Day, guests gathered for a talk from prominent women with careers in the wine industry, which included guest speakers Claudine Pépin, President, The Jacques Pépin Foundation; Grazia Pelosi, President, Worldwide Wines; and Amy Ezrin, Owner, Sandy Giovese and Partner, The Piedmont Guy. Each speaker discussed inclusivity and their experiences in the industry and answered guests’ questions on how to be successful in their career paths. Guests enjoyed wines from Oddero, a family-owned winery in Piedmont run by women winemakers, paired with passed canapés from the culinary team at Madison Beach Hotel. During the evening, guests tasted Oddero Langhe DOC Riesling and Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore Nizza. The Women in Wine Soiree was the second in a two-part series hosted by the Madison Chamber of Commerce, with the TrailblazHer event kicking off the planned events on March 7.
