“Under the Tuscan Sun” author Frances Mayes visited Connecticut on May 29 and 30, 2014 for a series of launch events for her signature line of Tuscan Sun Wines organized by distributor Cellar Fine Wines. In front of sold-out houses at L’Orcio in New Haven, Zingarella in Plantsville, and The Kate in Old Saybrook, she told the stories of sourcing the wines from family growers near her home in Cortona, Italy. Mayes signed bottles for enthusiastic fans at Twisted Vine in Fairfield and Worldwide Wine & Spirits in Southington.
