Wine importer and distributor Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd. hosted a pop-up masquerade party for Halloween on Oct. 31. Masked and costumed guests enjoyed NV Volage Crémant de Loire Rosé Brut Sauvage, a new sparkling rosé import from French American Brands, Inc., now available in Connecticut. Franҫois-Xavier Chaillou, Wine Executive and Owner of Volage, was in attendance. Volage Rosé Brut Sauvage, a 12% ABV Crémant de Loire, is made from single-vineyard Cabernet Franc grapes and aged for a full three years on lees, resulting in a more complex flavor than many Champagnes. Volage boasts notes of delicate strawberry, lime zest and underwood with floral scents and is best served as an aperitif or paired with dishes such as tuna tartare, shrimp and chicken, as well as salads.
