MS Walker of Rhode Island highlighted a selection from within its Iberian wines portfolio with a February off-premise sales effort and point-of-sale retail campaign helping animal welfare charities locally and nationally. For every case sold of Montaria Reserva Red, a wine from the Alentejo (Lente) region of Portugal, MS Walker Brands and MS Walker of Rhode Island will donate to the Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) to benefit the health and well-being of animals. Founded in 1870, the RISPCA is the oldest nonprofit animal welfare organization in the state of Rhode Island and the third oldest in the country. The nonprofit provides adoption and rehoming services, veterinary care, humane education, training support and pet owner assistance programs. The brand Montaria honors its namesake vineyard dog, a German shepherd, who keeps company with all who work at the wine estate.
