Wine and spirits took center stage at South Lane Bistro in Guilford in November as Murphy Distributors conducted an on-site education session for the restaurant’s staff. The interactive class, designed to deepen the team’s understanding of wines and spirits, coincided with South Lane Bistro’s launch of its winter wine and cocktail menu. The session, led by Murphy Distributors’ On-site Sommelier Katelyn Murray and Shoreline Sales Representative Brenden Colin, focused on the art of pairing and presenting beverages that enhance the dining experience. “Whenever we do a training like this with one of our customers, it is a collaborative experience,” said Matthew Murphy, President, Murphy Distributors. “We don’t want to just deliver products to South Lane Bistro, we want to leave them with knowledge that not only elevates the guest experience but gives them more confidence as a team.” The winter menu introduces an array of seasonal cocktails and wine pairings that celebrate the flavors of the colder months. Highlights included an overview of pairing spirits with South Lane’s food offerings and Taonga Sauvignon Blanc. Murphy Distributors’ on-site education initiative is part of its broader commitment to supporting its partners in creating memorable guest experiences. “We hope the collaboration really highlights the importance of pairing top-tier products with a well-informed service team,” Murphy said.
