Del’s Shandy variety pack in Del’s Lemon Shandy, Watermelon Shandy and Black Cherry.
Providence’s Narragansett Beer released this year’s Del’s Shandy variety pack in the annual collaboration between the brewery and the historic Rhode Island frozen lemonade maker. The limited-edition 12-pack features box contains four 12 oz. cans each of the original Lemon Shandy, which brings together all-natural lemon purée, Narragansett’s award-winning lager and just a touch of sugar, plus Del’s Watermelon Shandy and a special return of Del’s Black Cherry Shandy, each at 4.7% ABV. The first Del’s stand opened in Rhode Island in 1948 using an old family recipe brought over from Italy, offering its iced treat to state beachgoers. With ’Gansett’s 130-plus years in brewing, both companies have refreshed generations of customers, together, offering Del’s Shandy since 2014. Narragansett’s Del’s Shandy first debuted as part of its “Hi Neighbor Mash Up” series, pairing the lager and tart lemon concentrate, creating a refreshing brew for the warm summer months.
