Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), hosted a sales launch event on July 30 at Pinstripes Bistro, Bowling & Bocce in Norwalk to welcome supplier E. & J. Gallo Winery’s 30 newly acquired brands, including Clos du Bois, Mark West, Nobilo, Franciscan, Taylor Brands, Rex Goliath and Estancia Vineyards, among them. Gallo’s acquisition of the brands from Constellation in January 2021 is one of the largest wine brand acquisitions in history. The Gallo team conducted an intensive brand review, taking the CDI sales force through the individual brand plans, standards and history, as well as conducting an extensive comparative tasting. The training was followed by trivia, lunch, bowling and bocce. John Parke, President, CDI, said of the launch: “Today was really a celebration that was over two years in the making, from the time we first heard that the E. & J. Gallo Winery was planning to acquire these 30 great brands. The history and heritage of all of these wines is impressive; they are great additions to CDI’s strong wine portfolio. The overall energy and engagement from the sales teams today was palpable, to be back together, and to see what is ahead of us with this collection of wines that have such a broad appeal.”
