The newly-formed USBG Hartford chapter hosted a membership drive and informational session sponsored by Fernet-Branca at Hartford’s Little River Restoratives on February 26. Hartford area bartending and trade professionals gathered for a tasting by Fratelli Branca’s New York Portfolio Manager Stefanie Bair. Dimitrios Zahariadis, USBG New Haven President, spoke to attendees about the benefits of membership alongside USBG Hartford President, Chris Parrott. The USBG Hartford chapter was recently formed after the state chapter split into New Haven and Hartford city chapters, in order to comply with USBG guidelines and to give Hartford area members more access to events (see story on page 10). The event was catered with food from Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ.
- Products from the Fratelli Branca portfolio available during the tasting were Carpano Bianco Vermouth, Punt E Mes, Fernet-Branca and Branca Menta.
- Jeff Conelius, Craft Spirits Specialist, Allan S. Goodman; Lisa Kazersky, CT Market Manager, Infinium Spirits; and Stefanie Bair, NY Portfolio Manager, Fratelli Branca.
