The Newport Beer Festival, produced by Gray Matter Marketing and sponsored by Newport Craft Brewing + Distilling Co. and Pour Judgement, returned to Fort Adams State Park on April 20. In its 12th year, the sold-out event offered beer lovers local and regional brew tastes as representatives from close to 50 craft breweries poured more than 100 different beers at tasting stations throughout the scenic location. Guests also enjoyed food from Aquidneck Island Oyster Company, Newport Chowder Company, Binge BBQ, La Costa Lobster and Tacos, Cluck Truck, A Mano Pizza + Gelato, and the Wiener Wagon and live music from The Weisstronauts. Proceeds benefited the Rhode Island Brewers Guild, whose mission is to support and promote craft breweries in the state.
