Employees from Newport Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. and The Clean Earth Project collaborated to clean Perrotti Park and surrounding areas on Aug. 14. Together, volunteers removed more than 162 pounds of trash from the park and streets of Newport. After the cleanup, Newport Craft hosted an after-party for attendees at its brewery, with craft beer, giveaways and a raffle. Other recent efforts from the Clean Earth Project and Newport Craft collaboration include two sip-and-shop events at The Clean Earth Projects’ Thames Street location in Newport. After the success of the Aug. 14 event, the team plans to work together for more sustainability and fundraising efforts in the future.
