
Multiple beverage brands were featured at a specialty cocktail bar at Newport International Polo Grounds & Pavilion in Portsmouth on July 17. During the polo match between Newport and Pittsburgh, guests enjoyed Champagne and a variety of cocktails from the Modern Luxury Polo Lounge, created and served by The Cocktail Guru team, which has provided bartending services and specialty drink creations at the venue for 10 years. Brands featured included Veuve Clicquot, Van Gogh Vodka, Marie Brizard Elderflower Liqueur, Cutty Sark Blended Scotch Whisky, Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Maker’s Mark Whisky, Hornitos Plata Tequila, Brugal Añejo Superior Dominican Republic Rum and Truly Hard Seltzer, among them. Newport Polo won the match over Pittsburgh, 7-5. This year marks the celebration of 30 years of partnership between Newport Polo and the Rotary Club of Newport, where charity match ticket and program ad sales contribute tens of thousands of dollars annually to the Rotary Club’s local Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors and other local charitable initiatives.
