
MS Walker partnered with Nomi Park at the The Wayfinder Hotel in Newport, who began offering guests a small group wine education and experience. Teaming up with state distributors for a Somm 101 Thursday night series, it first paired up Ian Magiros, Certified Sommelier and On Premise Key Account Specialist for MS Walker of Rhode Island, with The Wayfinder’s Corey Hayes, Director of Food & Beverage, who presented each week, beginning July 7 and ending on September 10. The following wines were presented throughout the course of the events: Obsidian Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon, Momo Sauvignon Blanc, Talamonti Trabocchetto Pecorino, La Spinetta Toscana Vermentino, Granbazán Albarino, Domaine Ott Rosé, Ken Wright Pinot Noir, Long Meadow Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon, Comando G La Bruja de Rozas Garnacha and a final seminar of Elvio Cogno Ravera Barolo, Bisol Jeio Rosé and Bisol Jeio Prosecco.
- Commando G La Bruja de Rozas Garnacha is a collaboration between Fernando Garcia and Daniel Gómez Jiménez-Landi from grapes sourced from Spain’s Tiétar Valley. The 14.5% ABV Garnacha was showcased on September 3.
