
Oceanstate Wine & Spirits added Lulu, a new wine brand crafted within the heart of Washington State, to its wine portfolio this spring. Lulu wines are produced by the Washington Wine Group from hand-harvested grapes grown on 3,000 acres of vines within the Ancient Lakes and Wahluke Slope AVAs. Estate-grown and -produced, sustainably farmed, gluten-free, vegan and created from a majority woman-owned and -operated business, each varietal showcases the character of the vineyards, from crush to bottle, in a continuous process without leaving its premises. Lulu Chardonnay and Rosé are its first Rhode Island entries.
- Lulu Chardonnay is a fresh and fruity Chardonnay with a crisp, bright mouthfeel reminiscent of Washington apples. Pears, apples and lemon curd with minerality take the wine to the next level.
- Syrah dominates Lulu Rosé, with a finely balanced and fruit-driven mid-palate. Delicate aromas of dried cranberries, pomegranate and savory herbs express an excellent ripeness and a bright, refreshing acidity.
