Opici Family Distributing of Connecticut added new products as May begins: Origami Sake, DIO Cocktails and Libélula Tequila Blanco in a new 1-liter format. Located in Hot Springs, Arkansas, award-winning Origami Sake is nestled amid the Ouachita Mountains, where it sources local mineral water. The brewery is located within miles of its rice grower in the heartland of U.S. rice country and uses 100% Arkansas-grown rice varieties selected for quality and character. Available in A Thousand Cranes, White Lotus, and Zero and sold in 750-ml bottles, Origami Sake reflects the brand’s commitment to sustainability from farm to bottle. DIO Cocktails, a luxury canned cocktail brand offering a mixology-forward take on classic cocktails, launched in Hibiscus Rose French 75, Spicy Pineapple Margarita, Turmeric Ginger Lemon Mule and Tahitian Vanilla Espresso Martini. Each is made without the use of artificial flavors, sweeteners, syrups, or preservatives and contains less than 8 grams of sugar and 220 calories per can, between 13.5% to 15% ABV. Libélula Blanco, a 100% blue Weber agave tequila made in Jalisco, Mexico, is a “joven,” which means it is a blend and contains the pure flavors of the agave, with citrus and grassy aromas. The oak-aged reposado adds spice and richness. Its new size is 1 liter, joining the 750 ml already available.
