Award-winning Paci Restaurant in Southport, in collaboration with Connecticut distributor Aventine Hill Importers, hosted an autumn-themed Harvest Wine Dinner event on Sept. 29. The six-course meal, a seasonal and expansive menu of fine dining showcased by Chef Gabrielle Calle and team, was paired with a curated selection from Aventine’s Italian wine portfolio: Picollo Ernesto Gavi di Gavi Rovereto 2021, Polencic Plessiva Pinot Grigio 2021, Torricino Falanghina 2021, il Cavaliere Brunello di Montalcino 2017 and Cascina Ballarin Barolo Bussia 2016. The handcrafted wines took the more than 70 guests along a “virtual tour of Italy that started with a white from Piedmont, moved north to Alto Adige before turning south to Campania and then back to Piedmont with a brief but unforgettable stop in Tuscany,” said Garrett Stonehouse, Owner, Aventine Hill Importers.
