Brown-Forman spirits brands were showcased in two Connecticut pairing dinners on Sept. 28. The first was a bourbon-pairing dinner featuring Old Forester Bourbon Whisky at Elm City Social in New Haven. Tom Kachmarck, CT State Manager, Brown-Forman, led an educational exploration and tasting of Old Forester’s whiskies. Guests paired Old Forester Birthday Bourbon Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky, 1920 Prohibition Style Whisky, 1910 Old Fine Whisky, 1897 Bottled in Bond Whisky and 1870 Original Batch Whisky with a specially prepared six-course dinner prepared by Chef John Brennan and his culinary team. Tequila Herradura was highlighted at a second pairing dinner at Puerto Vallarta in Norwalk, also on Sept. 28, hosted by Marcelo Chasi, Brand Ambassador, Tequila Herradura. Guest celebrity Chef Ivan Garcia, Owner of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, restaurants Mesa Coyoacan and Zona Rosa and subject of the film “I Carry You With Me,” prepared the evening’s five course pairing menu. During the evening, guests at the sold-out event tasted Herradura Silver, Reposado, Añejo, Ultra and Legend Añejo tequilas.
