Dozens of volunteers helped to refurbish donated bicycles for the holidays for Project Broken Wheel, an annual charitable event led by Twin River Casino employees. On December 6 and December 13, volunteers refurbished donated bicycles by giving them seat replacements, repairing tires, fixing chains, adding reflectors, touching up paint and adding a holiday bow. Over the last eight years, the program has donated 964 bicycles to local children’s organizations. Organizers completed their goal of 50 bicycles from the December work sessions, exceeding a grand total of 1,000 refurbished and donated.
- Volunteers at Twin River Casino on December 6 included Mike Carvalho, Rebecca Barbara, Kristen Maxwell Martucci, Carrie Ellen, Alaina Bart, Scott Niedermaier, Andrea Dillinger Rollin, David Rollin and Vanessa Karbowski.
