By May 29, 2024Connecticut, Top News

Puerto de Indias Strawberry Gin is distilled from fresh strawberries blended with delicate citrus and juniper. Pure Black Edition Gin gets its unique color from the infusion of blackberries.

Murphy Distributors added Spanish import Puerto de Indias Gin to its Connecticut offerings. With its range of handcrafted gins in fruit flavors, Puerto de Indias gins have gained recognition, including the Strawberry Gin and Pure Black Edition Gin new market entries. Puerto de Indias (which translates to “Port of India”) gins encapsulate the spirit of southern Spain’s coastline, where its Seville distillery opened in 1880, infusing traditional gin craftsmanship with tropical flair. “We are thrilled to have added Puerto gins to our portfolio,” said Matthew Murphy, President of Murphy Distributors. “They offer a unique twist on the classic gin experience, a flavor profile your non-gin drinker can really enjoy.” Puerto de Indias Strawberry Gin offers a translucent, light pink color and is a refreshing blend that uses only natural and ripe strawberries perfect in a variety of cocktails, from crisp spritzers to fruity punches. Puerto de Indias Pure Black Edition Gin is made with high-quality botanicals—including juniper berries, coriander and angelica root—as well as several other herbs and spices. A distinctive feature of the gin is its unique color, which is derived from the infusion of blackberries. “[Puerto de Indias gins] offer a lot of variety and different ways it can be enjoyed,” Murphy said. “Our hope is over the next few months it attracts a lot of new gin drinkers. It is very approachable.”
