
The PVDFest, Providence’s signature art festival, returned to the city June 6-9. Hosted by Mayor Jorge O. Elorza, the City of Providence’s Department of Art, Culture and Tourism and founding creative partner FirstWorks, the multiday cultural experience featured work and performances from more than 800 artists from Kennedy Plaza to Empire Street. More than 20 Providence-based restaurants served up dishes and demonstrations for guests, along with beverages from 25 festival bars. McLaughlin & Moran was a festival program partner and exclusive beverage sponsor, with the festival highlighting Bud Light. Brand sponsors also included Tito’s Handmade Vodka, whose tasting camper was parked through the weekend, Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and Don Julio Tequila. The streets were also decorated for the 2019 Pride Weekend to follow, creating a festive vibe for visitors.
