In October, two Rhode Island bartenders and flair specialists joined trade professionals and guests at Bally’s Atlantic City in New Jersey as part of a United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) fundraiser to benefit the Helen David Relief Fund, a program that supports bar industry workers battling cancer. Anthony Guaetta, and Adam “Opie” Oppenheimer, who rode in the 25-mile charity bike ride, joined sponsors creating cocktails and showcasing skills during a flair demonstration for a seven-course dinner at Jerry Longo’s Meatballs & Martinis, Bally’s Atlantic City. “The Helen David Relief Fund is an incredibly worthy cause and one that is right in line with Bally’s commitment to having a positive impact on the communities the company serves and to charities that benefit hospitality industry professionals directly,” said Rhode Island’s Frank Martucci, Charity Board President, USBG and Director of Beverage and Nightlife, Bally’s Corp. which includes its Twin River property in Lincoln. The event raised more than $15,000 for the fund.
