The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) hosted its 31st annual Golf Classic at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown on Oct. 5. Approximately 120 golfers took part in the day’s festivities, which included a silent auction, raffles and lunch on the golf course. The event was sponsored by McGrath Clambakes & Catering and Performance Food Group, with food from Drum Rock Products, Oak Hill Tavern, Superior Bakery, and Gregg’s Cookies and coffee from Downeast Coffee Roasters. Guests also enjoyed dinner served outdoors by the Quidnessett Country Club team. Additional sponsors included Beacon Mutual Insurance Co.; Falvey Linen Supply; Gregg’s Restaurants & Taverns; Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island; McLaughlin & Moran, Inc.; MS Walker; Sysco; Superior Bakery; Tito’s Handmade Vodka; and Twin River Casino Hotel, among others. Hospitality industry sponsors, beverage suppliers, restaurateurs, bar managers, food service workers and trade members participated in the fundraising tournament, which benefits both RIHA and the RIHA Education Foundation.
