
The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) Women in Hospitality series hosted a holiday-themed wine and beer pairing event at the Isle Brewer’s Guild in Pawtucket on November 15. During the Hassle-Free Holiday Entertaining event, sponsored by Blackstone Caterers, MS Walker and The Isle Brewer’s Guild, approximately 30 guests were treated to tastes of select wines from MS Walker’s portfolio and beer selections from the Guild paired with hors d’oeuvres provided by Blackstone Caterers, along with recipes and pairing ideas. Mike Lester, On Premise Sales and Craft Spirits Manager, MS Walker and RIHA President Dale Venturini gave guests a crash course on the 5’s of wine-tasting and presented techniques used by professionals when determining wine pairings. Jack Streich, Vice President of Brewing Operations, Isle Brewer’s Guild led a beer tasting and education session.
