Worldwide Wines hosted a cocktail competition featuring the St. George Spirits line at Oak Haven Table & Bar in New Haven on June 3. Local bartenders competed using selections from the Alameda, California, artisanal distillery. The range of spirits made under the direction of Master Distiller Lance Winters includes vodka, absinthe, whiskey, rum, gin, brandy and liqueurs. The first-place winner was Michela Zurstadt of The Essex, the second-place winner was Dorian Dorsey of Mezon Tapas Bar & Restaurant and the third-place winner was Glenn “Coco” Gamarra of Manjares Tapas Bar. The People’s Choice award went to Dorian Dorsey for his cocktail Razzle Dazzle.
