Washington state winery Ste. Michelle Wine Estates announced that long-standing President and CEO Jim Mortensen would retire on Nov. 1, 2020, naming David Dearie as his replacement. Mortensen’s decision to retire to pursue “ventures and passions” he set aside was announced in October. “I am immensely proud of the work this organization has accomplished,” Mortenson said. Dearie’s career includes senior leadership positions at Treasury Wine Estates, where he served as CEO and Managing Director Australia/New Zealand for Fosters Wine Group, and with Brown-Forman, among others.
