The University Club in Providence hosted a wine pairing dinner featuring selections from Stoller Family Estate on June 3. The family-run winery, the largest contiguous vineyard in Oregon’s Dundee Hill AVA and LEED Gold certified, creates its namesake Pinot Noirs that express a combination of bright red fruit, earth, spice and silky, fine-grain tannins and balanced acidity, all under the direction of Melissa Burr, Vice President of Winemaking. Burr and National Sales Manager Cory Davis, alongside The University Club Sommelier Jaimie Puckett, hosted the intimate pop-up tasting. Stoller Family Estate Dundee Hills Chardonnay 2020 and Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Rosé 2019 were also among wines tasted. As Stoller Family Estate is moving into distribution throughout New England, the first-ever experience was a one-of-kind introduction, newly available in Rhode Island via Horizon Beverage Co. The University Club Executive Chef Gary Comella created a small bites menu to complement the wines, giving club members a unique experience to get to know the winemakers and vineyard firsthand.
