During October, Connecticut-founded wine brand Stomping Horse Wines supported charitable events such as Veterans Equine Therapeutic Services, which provides therapeutic healing through equine-related activities, and launched with new retailers as part of its continued rollout in its home state. Stomping Horse was founded by Dawn Page, Steven Shewbrooks and Byron Brewer, horse lovers, wine lovers and philanthropists. The team creates fines wines, whose horse-themed, play-on-word varietal offerings are bottled directly at vineyards in Washington State’s Columbia Valley. These include Stomping Horse Chardonneigh Washington Columbia Valley 2021, 100% Chardonnay, and Stomping Horse Thoroughblend 2020, 65% Mourvèdre, 27% Syrah, 5% Grenache, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Viognier, from Washington’s Yakima and Columbia valleys. Page’s rescued thoroughbred horse, Trouper, serves as the bottles’ label and cork model. The wine brand is distributed in Connecticut via Votto Vines.
