A study on the most popular cocktails in the U.S., released by Coffeeness, outlined the top five that emerged as the nation’s favorites. The Aperol Spritz led the pack as the most popular summer cocktail across 22 states, including in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The Margarita followed in popularity across 17 states; the Old Fashioned is favored in nine states; the Moscow Mule is preferred in seven states; and The Mimosa holds the top spot in three states. Other cocktails that made the list of most popular choices in the U.S. include the Mojito, Bellini, Daiquiri and Sidecar. In the Northeast, the Aperol Spritz takes the top spot, though New Hampshire and Maine showed a preference for Margaritas. The Coffeeness team used and analyzed the Google search volume data for each cocktail by state, revealing which ones are the most popular.
