Terlato Wine Group has been appointed the exclusive U.S. sales and marketing agent for the Rhône Valley’s Vidal-Fleury, effective in June. The Vidal-Fleury portfolio includes a Côtes du Rhône Blanc, Côtes du Rhône Rouge, Crozes-Hermitage and Châteauneuf-du-Pape, among other wines. “This strategic partnership brings the renowned wines of Vidal-Fleury, a historic Rhône Valley producer, to a broader American audience,” the company said in a news release. Founded in 1781, Joseph Vidal established Maison Vidal, marking the beginning of a winemaking tradition that has endured for more than two centuries and is currently the oldest continuously operating wine producer in the Rhône Valley. Vidal-Fleury CEO and Winemaker Antoine Dupré said the deal with Terlato “represents a fantastic opportunity to reintroduce in the U.S. market the legacy, the new style and quality of Vidal-Fleury wines to a wider audience. I’m looking forward to growing the brand thanks to a successful partnership together.”
