
Pop-up tiki bar Eight Seas was featured at The Dean Bar in Providence on select evenings during November and December 2019. Created by Eight Seas Proprietor Catherine Hood, The Tropical Depression cocktail experience featured seven exotic cocktails created by Hood using Rhode Island Spirits Vodka, Plantation Rum and Kaiyo Whisky. Guests enjoyed tiki cocktails including the Tropical Depression, which featured Rhodium Vodka and Manzanilla Sherry, and the Anti-Aloha, featuring Nardini Grappa and Rhodium Pawpaw Liqueur. Founded by Hood, the traveling tiki bar Eight Seas features classic and contemporary craft Polynesian cocktails at locations and events in the Providence area throughout the year.
- A MakaHiki cocktail, featuring house-spiced Plantation Artisanal Rum, Rhodium Limoncello, banana, grapefruit, Meyer lemon, clementine, guava, pineapple, blood orange shrub and absinthe.

- A Tropical Depression cocktail, featuring a blend of Rhodium Vodka and Manzanilla Sherry, passion fruit, Blue Curaçao, vanilla, lychee, lime, matcha, mascarpone and sugar kelp.
- The Oolong Slayer cocktail, a blend of Alipus San Luis Mezcal, oolong, Madeira, apple tepache, spiced pear, passion fruit, maple, lemon, cinnamon and mole.
- A Little Coconut, Hood’s vegan version of a coquito.
- Cocktails featured spirits, including Kaiyo The Single Whisky, Rhode Island Spirits Rhodium Vodka and Plantation Special Day Jamaican Rum.
