Branford’s Thimble Island Brewing Company released new beers for summer: Island Hopper – West Crib is a West Coast IPA at 8% ABV; Eins Stein is a traditional German Pilsner brewed with German malt and Tettnanger hops at 4.5% ABV; Overboard New England IPA w/Lactose is 5.8% ABV, brewed with lactose to give a smooth body and a hint of sweetness; and the Sour Siren Series, Violet (a sour wheat ale brewed with blueberry, acai, vanilla and lactose), Rita (a margarita-style gose ale brewed with sea salt, lime and agave nectar) and Georgia (a sour IPA made with peaches). In addition to the new brews, Thimble Island Brewery Tap Room added new outdoor seating with Adirondack chairs, firepits with a large tent, picnic tables, and will be hosting live music every Friday for guests.
