Angelini Wine Ltd. welcomed new French selections to its import portfolio, each offering a high-quality Pinot Noir reflective of the region. Domaine Lebreuil Bourgogne Rouge 2021 is a 100% Pinot Noir, made from grapes off 40-year-old vines located in the upper part of the village of Savigny, at an altitude of 350 meters. The vines are trained high to give the grapes maximum exposure to the sun and harvesting is done by hand. It is vinified in the same manner as the other reds but is 50% aged in barrels and 50% in tank for only 10 months. Domaine Lebreuil Savigny-les-Beaune Rouge 1er Cru Aux Peuillets 2020, a 100% Pinot Noir, is aged in barrels that are 25% each new: one, two and three years old. Domaine Lebreuil Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Aux Gravains 2019 is aged for 12 months in oak casks that are one-third each new and one and two years old. It is bottled in December after a light kieselguhr filtration and no fining, with an average of 166 cases made annually. Domaine Lebreuil, led by winemaker Jean-Baptiste Lebreuil, is a family-owned wine-growing estate since 1935, producing classic, traditional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with vinification and aging following classic Burgundian practice.
