Antonio Rodriguez, Director of Education, Patrón Tequila, conducted a series of educational events in the state via Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI). The events included a trade-focused gathering at the Delamar in West Hartford on March 23, where attendees tasted Patrón Silver, Reposado, Añejo and Extra Añejo, as well as a brand immersion for CDI’s sales team the following day. Rodriguez covered Patrón’s production process, including the selection of raw agave, traditional clay brick ovens, fermentation and distillation in small copper pot stills. The bottling process is also done by hand, including cork sealing and labeling. The meeting also included a history of Hacienda Patrón, which has 16 tahonas, the most in any distillery in the world, and more than 100 ovens, three roller mills, 680 fermenters and 167 pot stills. Rodriguez touted Patrón’s commitment to producing top-quality tequila through handmade, small-batch production while prioritizing environmental responsibility and social philanthropy. The brand ensures sustainability of the agave used in its production process, reduces emissions and recycles water to minimize environmental impact.
