
The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) New Haven and Hartford chapters, along with Eder Bros., Inc., and Allan S. Goodman, continued the 2019 USBG Civil War Bartending Competition series with two events in July. West Hartford’s Savoy Pizzeria & Craft Bar set the stage for the USBG Hartford chapter competitors on July 15 with a call for low-ABV cocktail recipes using the featured spirit, Bully Boy Distillers Amaro Liqueur. The first-place winner was Jenna Geysen of Zohara Mediterranean Kitchen. In second place was Jonathan Tellis of Walrus + Carpenter and Chelsea Solkowski of Taprock Beer Bar & Refuge received third place. The Civil War in the South continued with a round at Norwalk’s El Segundo on July 22 with Bully Boy Amaro Liqueur again the featured spirit.
