
The United States Bartenders’ Guild (USBG) Hartford chapter hosted its monthly meeting at The Beamhouse in Glastonbury on July 21. Sponsored by Bully Boy Distillers, USBG Hartford members enjoyed a luncheon education session and tasting through the full Bully Boy spirits line led by Eric Harris of Bully Boy, along with small plates by The Beamhouse and specialty cocktails. The Bully Boy Distillers product line includes Amaro, American Straight Whiskey, Boston Rum, Estate Gin, Gin, Hub Punch, The Old Fashioned, The Rum Cooperative Blended Rum, Vodka, White Rum and White Whiskey. Connecticut-based Beverage Director and Sommelier Brian Mitchell also educated guests on his newly founded industry training venture, the New England Wine Academy, a Wine & Spirits Trust (WSET) approved program provider.
- USBG guests were led through a tasting of the Bully Boy Distillers line, which included its Vodka, Estate Gin, White Rum, Boston Rum, The Rum Cooperative Blended Rum, American Straight Whiskey, The Old Fashioned, Amaro and The Punch.

- Brian Mitchell, Founder, New England Wine Academy discussed upcoming training sessions. A 25-plus-year beverage veteran in Connecticut, Mitchell, WSET Level 4 and Sommelier, has also served as Director of Beverages for Max Restaurant Group since 2011.
- Guests enjoyed specialty cocktails featuring spirits from the Bully Boy Distillers product line.
