Weekapaug Inn in Westerly welcomed summer with a guest experience, the Chandon Sunset Terrace, which runs from June through October. Available to the inn’s guests and the public, the Sunset Terrace provides views of the sunset from the shoreline overlooking Quonochontaug Pond while sipping on Chandon Garden Spritz cocktails. Garden Spritz is the blend of Chandon’s Napa Valley sparkling wine and a unique bitters recipe crafted with locally sourced fresh oranges macerated with dry orange peels, herbs and spices carefully selected from the finest terroirs in the world. No artificial flavors or colors are used at any stage in its production. Domaine Chandon, located in Yountville, California, was established in 1973 by Moët & Chandon and was the first French-owned sparkling wine producer in Napa Valley. Six Garden Spritz variations are available to guests, each accented with additional botanical flavors: Garden Spritz, made with rosemary and dehydrated grapefruit; Sunset Spritz, made with grapefruit and basil; Weekapaug Spritz, made with dehydrated lime and lemongrass; Five Star Spritz, made with orange, star anise and cinnamon; Quonnie Spritz, made with lemon and thyme; and Spicy Garden Spritz, made with jalapeño, lime and cilantro. A selection of specialty cocktails and bar snacks are offered. Chandon Garden Spritz is distributed in Rhode Island via Mancini Beverage – Providence Beverage division.
