
Coast Guard House in Narragansett welcomed Whalers Brewing Company for a Friday night beer-pairing dinner on Jan. 27 in the venue’s upstairs Anchor Room. The four-course meal and dessert paired the Rhode Island craft beer offerings of Rise American Pale Ale, 5.5% ABV; Piesces, 5% ABV; Muse, 7% ABV; American Strong Ale, 9.5% ABV; and Hazelnut Stout, 6.5% ABV. A team from Whalers Brewing Company, including Director of Sales Gregory Horton and Brand Ambassador Libby Walker, educated guests on the showcased brews, respectively paired with arancini, oysters au gratin, pork belly BLT, BBQ ribs and hazelnut tiramisu. Founded in 2011, Whalers Brewing Company is a project by Josh Dunlap and Wes Staschke, who brew, can and keg on-site at its facility in the historic Palisades Mill campus located in South Kingstown. The brand is distributed in Rhode Island by Horizon Co. – Wayne division.
