
Wine Wizards hosted a spring season portfolio tasting at its Rumford warehouse on April 8. Trade guests and accounts sampled a variety of fine imported and domestic wines. Regions highlighted from within France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Slovenia and the U.S. were among the global taste tour as showcased by suppliers and the Wine Wizards team.
- Chardonnays from Rotation, Standing Stone Vineyards, Singing Tree, Mount Eden Vineyards, Matthiasson, The Withers and Forlorn Hope.
- French rosés by Terre des Olivettes, Peyrassol La Croix des Templiers, Aramon and Commanderie de Peyrassol.
- Kruger Rumpf Pinot Noir Dry Rosé, Schlosskellerei Gobelsburg Cistercien Rosé and Rene Couly Chinon Rosé.
- Forefathers Sauvignon Blanc, Gen del Alma Ji Ji Ji Red Blend, Mollydooker The Boxer Shiraz, Roto Cabernet Sauvignon and De Martino Reserva Legado Carmenere.
- Glorie Frackleton, Regional Sales Manager, Pascal Schildt Selections.
- Wines from Spain and Portugal, including Nortico Alvarinho, Armas de Guerra Mencia, Porta Regia Jumilla, Barco de Piedra, Las Gundinas and Ultreia.
- A Limoncello cocktail featuring Crater Lake Vodka, which hails from Oregon, is filtered 10 times through charcoal and crushed lava rock.
- La Cigarrera Manzanilla Fino Sherry and El Maestro Sierra Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez.
- Italian selections including Gavi Masera, Dante di Fiorensa Chianti, Costa Al Sole Terre Siciliane and Montepulciano D’Abruzzo, Murgo Etnarosso, De Forville Barbaresco and Mocali Brunello di Montalcino.
- White wines from Caneva da Nani, Poderi Cellario, Danilo Marcucci and Tiberi, and reds by Tenuta Macchiarola and Sella dell’Acuto.
- Underwood Wines now available in a canned format, including Pinot Noir, Rosé Wine, Pinot Gris, The Bubbles and Rosé Bubbles.
- A selection of reds from CasaSmith, Bedrock Wine Co., Rotation, Giapoza, Substance, Hobo and Corison.
