The wines of Chateau Ste. Michelle were showcased during a wine pairing luncheon at The Chanler at Cliff Walk’s Spiced Pear Restaurant in Newport on March 18. Chateau Ste. Michelle’s Head Winemaker Bob Berthau presented each wine paired with dishes prepared by Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage Matthew Voskuil. The acclaimed Chateau Ste. Michelle has been producing award-winning wines and tasting experiences from its historic Chateau near Seattle for more than 50 years, making it Washington state’s oldest winery. Ste. Michelle is one of the few premium wineries in the world with two state-of-the-art wineries, one for red and one for white. The whites are made at the Chateau in Woodinville while the reds are made at the winery’s Canoe Ridge Estate in Eastern Washington.
