
Rhode Island Hospitality Associations’ Women in Hospitality (WIH) Kick-Off was held on the outdoor patio at the Nylo Hotel in Warwick on June 26. More than 65 women gathered to share best practices and learn from one another. RIHA President and CEO, Dale J. Venturini, spoke on the importance of mentorship, and stated “before you reach the next rung on that ladder, reach back and pull someone up behind you,” encouraging attendees to support and empower one another as they climb the ladder of success in their careers. WIH Chairwoman, Kristen Adamo of Providence Warwick CVB, asked attendees to share topics and ideas for future WIH meetings, from which RIHA plans to develop future topics for the fall meeting series.
