
Little Dipper Farm in Brooklyn, Connecticut hosted a whiskey tasting spotlighting women-owned-and-operated distilleries on Feb. 12. Led by Irene Tan, Owner of Canterbury Liquors and Founder of Whiskey Mentors Consulting, the event featured a tasting of five whiskies after enjoying a wood-splitting lesson by Little Dipper Farm, a 100% women-owned-and-operated sustainable farm, located on 588 acres in northeastern Connecticut. Showcased whiskies included Boston Harbor Distillery’s Putnam Rye Whiskey Red Wine Barrel Finish and QS02 Stay a While, owned by Rhoda Kallman, in Boston; Rabbit Hole Dareringer Bourbon from Rabbit Hole Distillery, co-owned by Heather Bass, in Louisville, Kentucky; Milam and Greene Distillery 12 Year Single Barrel QS01 The Antique, owned by Marsha Milam and created by Head Distiller Marlene Holmes and Master Blender and CEO Heather Greene, in Blanco Texas; Glendronach Distillery 12 Year Single Malt Scotch, created by Master Blender Rachel Barre, in Scotland; and Barrel Whiskey QS02 Figgin Good, made by Assistant Blender Nic Christiansen, in Louisville, Kentucky.
