Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Derby, honored “The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports” with point-of-sale displays, tastings and parties throughout Connecticut leading up to the grand event, which many also celebrated at May 7 viewing parties. Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey offers a “perfectly balanced” taste with more than 200 detectable flavor notes from bold grain and wood to sweet aromatics and spice, as well as fruit and floral notes. Many venues across the state featured Woodford Reserve signature cocktails on their menus as part of the brand’s efforts, including the Woodford Spire, the official cocktail for the Kentucky Derby featuring Woodford Reserve, lemonade and cranberry juice; a traditional Mint Julep; and Finlandia Oaks Lily, the official vodka drink of the Kentucky Derby.
