The Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America announced the election of M.S. Walker, Inc., President Doug Shaw as Chairman of the Board on Sept. 20. Addressing the association at its annual membership meeting in Washington, D.C., Shaw urged distributors to continue strengthening the three-tier system. On the future of the association and its strategic priorities, Shaw detailed ongoing efforts to continue building upon important diversity and women’s leadership initiatives, advocating for the comprehensive federal regulation of cannabis and countering state-by-state efforts to bypass the robustly regulated marketplace, among priorities.
