Brescome Barton, in collaboration with Teremana Tequila, hosted a block party, fundraiser and cocktail competition at Zephyr’s Street Pizza in West Hartford on March 28. Local bartenders created their most inventive margaritas using Teremana Tequila, with surprise ingredients presented each round, for a panel of judges: Amy Purcell, Event Manager, Max Restaurant Group; Clare Jordan, Owner, TruePenny Tattoo; Cheyney Barrieau, Owner, Cheyney Barrieau Photography; and Stephanie Daley Cistulli, Zephyr’s Street Pizza. Guests paired cocktail tastes with tacos from Hot Taco Street Kitchen while DJ Darth Fader provided the event soundtrack. Launched in March 2020 by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jenna Fagnan, Ken Austin, Dany Garcia and the Lopez family, ultra-premium Teremana Tequila is available in Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo and is distributed in the state through Brescome Barton. Guests brought nonperishable breakfast items to benefit Hands on Hartford, a nonprofit organization that provides food, housing and health services for people experiencing economic hardship. The event also benefited DaleyPawz, a pet care services company serving the Greater Hartford area.
